Go, Make A Difference
While flipping through the television channels, I came across one of my favorite movies, Lean On Me. The movie is about a principal appointed to a school with a group of students that most people had given up on. Through unconventional methods and stark opposition, Mr. Clark, the principal was determined to turn this school around and change the lives of these students. In order to achieve his goal, the passionate principal made some tough decisions and ruffled a few feathers. In spite of the difficult task with its daily challenges, Mr. Clark refused to give to up on these students. Needless to say, the school moved in the right direction and the lives of these learners were forever changed. This inspiring movie reminded me why quitting is not an option. Sometimes what is in front of you seems impossible to overcome. Author, Rick Warren said, “Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you depending on how you respond to them.” See, it is not so much what you are dealing with; it is how you react to it. Take time to inhale and exhale and tell yourself, “I got this, I can do this!” Your situation may not be easy, but it does not have to be impossible. Thoughts and plans come into fruition, when we do not give up. Go make a difference!
